James Mahon's (the second) Demise

This James was a son of James Mahon and Ellen Troy who arrived from Ireland in 1819. He was married to Mary Boshart, who died in 1903 in Renfrew County. She died the same year after approx 60 years of marriage and 11 children. James was likely one of the Rideau Canal blacksmiths (1826-1832) who worked under Colonel By. He served the British Crown during the 1837 Rebellion of Upper Canada with Perth area militia (Colonel By died before the Rebellion). James moved to Sebastapol about 1858, after the baptism of daughter Ellen in Perth.
